Christmas Lienz and the magical world of Loacker

Program of the trip
Highlights of the excursion:
· visit to the interactive Loacker center with the opportunity to purchase popular wafers and chocolates,
· Advent walk through festively decorated Lienz, one of the most beautiful Alpine towns in Austria,
· time for Christmas-New Year shopping and visiting festive stalls,
· a wonderful drive through the Alpine landscape of East Tyrol and the Drava valley,
· indulgence with hot chocolate, mulled wine and local delicacies,
In the morning hours we will depart from various places in Slovenia towards Austria. The route takes us past Jesenice and onwards along the Drava valley towards East Tyrol. In the late morning we arrive in Heinfels, where we visit the interactive Loacker Experience Center. Through an interesting exhibition we learn the story of the world-famous wafers, the secrets of carefully selected ingredients and their production process. There will also be time to visit the café and the shop with a wide selection of exclusive Loacker products. After free time we will drive to nearby Lienz, which is considered one of the most beautiful towns in the Austrian Alps. We will stroll through the lively town center, admire the colorful facades and well-kept squares and take time for Christmas-New Year shopping or for a snack at the richly laden festive stalls. In the late afternoon we will head back home, where we will arrive in the late evening hours.
