The name Zagorka Tours was inspired by Marija Jurić Zagorka, one of Croatia's most widely read writers and its first professional female journalist. She was born in Negovec, near Vrbovec, where our travel agency is now based.
Zagorka inspired us because she lived her entire life driven by curiosity, courage and a desire to discover new worlds. She challenged the boundaries of her time, opened doors that had been closed to others and showed how far a person can go when they believe in what they do.
We want to bring that same spirit into our journeys.We believe that travelling is not simply about going somewhere else. It is an opportunity to discover something new about the world, different people and cultures and perhaps even something new about ourselves.
That is why we want to create journeys that inspire curiosity, broaden horizons and leave travellers with beautiful memories.
