1. ZAGREB – ISTANBUL – KATHMANDU

Meeting of passengers at Zagreb Airport 2 hours before the scheduled departure. Distribution of travel documents by the tour leader and check-in for the flight to Istanbul on flight TK1056 (Turkish Airlines) with departure at 19:55. Arrival in Istanbul is scheduled at 00:20 local time. Continuation of the flight to Kathmandu at 01:20 on flight TK726 (Turkish Airlines). Night flight with meals served on board.

2. KATHMANDU

Landing at Kathmandu Airport is scheduled for 11:10 local time. Visa formalities and meeting with the representative of the local agency. Organized transfer to the hotel. Check-in and accommodation at a 5* hotel. Free afternoon to rest until dinner at the hotel. Overnight.

3. KATHMANDU – SWAYAMBHUNATH – BOUDDANATH – PASHUPATINATH – KATHMANDU

After breakfast, we begin the city tour with a local guide. We will go to the main city square Durbar, visit Hanuman Dhoka, the complex with the royal palace of the Malla and Shah dynasty kings. We will tour the Mahadev and Parvati temples, Machchendra Bahl who is considered the guardian of the valley, located in the Kel Tol area north of the main Durbar square. Then we will visit one of the most important Buddhist shrines and a well-known pilgrimage site in Nepal - Swayambhunath, located on a hill 3 km from the capital, built more than 2,500 years ago and dominating the Kathmandu Valley, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Free time to visit the colorful bazaar. In the second half of the day we continue the tour with a visit to the Pashupatinath temple, located about 8 km from the city on the Bagmati River and one of the holiest Hindu temples where entry is allowed only to Hindus, then a visit to one of the largest stupas in the world, Bouddhanath, built approximately 2,500 years ago and a very important site for Buddhist pilgrims, especially those from Tibet. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

4. KATHMANDU – PATAN – BHAKTAPUR – KATHMANDU

Breakfast. Departure to the nearby city of Patan, located on the southern bank of the Bagmati River and about 5 km from Kathmandu. The city is also known as the city of artists, with numerous Hindu and Buddhist temples as its main features. We continue to Bhaktapur, the best-preserved royal city of the Kathmandu Valley, whose name in Sanskrit means "city of devotees" due to three main squares full of temples, some of which are among the best examples of religious architecture in all of Nepal. The city was founded in the 9th century and is the third largest in the Kathmandu Valley; it was once the capital of Nepal and is known for its rich culture, temples and artworks in wood, metal and stone. We will visit the historic Durbar Square, the Nyatapola temple and other temples. In the evening a traditional Nepali dinner with a folk program in one of the local restaurants in the city. Return to the hotel and overnight.

5. KATHMANDU – DELHI

After breakfast check-out from the hotel and organized transfer to Kathmandu Airport. Check-in and flight to New Delhi. Upon arrival in India, completion of visa and customs formalities. Meeting with the local guide and transfer to a 5* hotel in Delhi. Afternoon half-day tour of Old Delhi; visit to the tomb of Emperor Humayun, a beautiful building of red sandstone and white marble, Raj Ghat – the memorial to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a drive past the Red Fort built of red sandstone on the banks of the Yamuna River, the work of Emperor Shah Jahan. Then visit to the largest mosque in India - Jama Masjid. Drive through the Chandni Chowk bazaar. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

6. DELHI – AGRA

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. We proceed to tour the new part of the city. Visit to the impressive modern Lakshminarayan Temple built in 1938 as a donation from one of the wealthiest Indian families. We continue with a drive past India Gate, the memorial to the victims of World War I, the presidential residence, Parliament buildings and the Secretariat – buildings that are an interesting blend of Victorian architecture and 20th-century architecture. After the tour we depart for Agra, the former Indian capital, whose mausoleums, fort and palaces testify to the wealth of the legendary Mughal Empire. Upon arrival in Agra, accommodation at a 5* hotel. Dinner and overnight.

7. AGRA

After breakfast we depart to visit one of the 7 wonders of the world - the Taj Mahal - the fascinating white marble mausoleum from the 17th century that the Great Mughal Shah Jahan had built in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. The construction of this magnificent monument of love, a masterpiece of Mughal architecture, took 17 years with round-the-clock work by over 20,000 craftsmen and workers. After the visit to the Taj Mahal, we tour the Agra Fort, a masterpiece of design and construction that today dominates the center of Agra. The fort is surrounded by 20-meter-high walls, and within its elegant interior are numerous palaces, chambers, reception halls and gardens as well as the Pearl Mosque. Next is the tour of the tomb of Itmad-Ud Daulah, also known as the "Baby Taj". Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

8. AGRA – FATEHPUR SIKRI – JAIPUR

After breakfast we drive towards Jaipur. En route, a stop to visit the city of Fatehpur Sikri, the so-called Ghost City, which was built in 1569 during the reign of Akbar the Great and abandoned 14 years later for political reasons. The city, enclosed by 17 m high walls, is adorned with beautiful palaces, mausoleums, mosques, pools and gardens. Continue driving to Jaipur, the "Pink City" full of beautiful palaces, forts and picturesque avenues. Upon arrival, visit the Hindu Birla Mandir temple. Then accommodation at the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

9. JAIPUR

After breakfast, drive to Amber Fort. On the way to the fort, pass by the beautiful Hawa Mahal or "Palace of Winds". Elephant ride up to the hill where the fort is located (depending on elephant availability). The beauty of this classic romantic Rajasthani fort is hidden within its walls with beautifully painted miniatures, ivory and mirror decorations. Inside the walls are magnificent palaces, temples and gardens. The blend of pink stone, white marble, mirrors, semi-precious stones and frescoes dates back to the rule of the Rajput dynasty. In the afternoon, city tour: City Palace, the former royal residence, today partially converted into a museum. The palace itself covers almost 1/7 of Jaipur's area. Next visit the Jantar Mantar observatory, built of marble and stone, which has 17 huge instruments, most of which are still in working order. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.

10. JAIPUR – DELHI

After breakfast we travel by coach to Delhi. Upon arrival, visit the 12th-century Qutub Minar, elegantly hand-carved along its entire height of 234 feet (about 71 m), and the Iron Pillar, known for having resisted corrosion for more than 1500 years. We will also visit the Lotus Temple. The building is made of pure white marble. People of any faith are free to visit the temple to pray or meditate. After the tour, check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

11. DELHI – ISTANBUL – ZAGREB

After an early breakfast (breakfast box) check-out from the hotel and transfer to New Delhi Airport. Check-in and departure to Istanbul at 07:00 on flight TK717 (Turkish Airlines). Upon arrival in Istanbul at 11:35, continuation of the flight to Zagreb on flight TK1055 (Turkish Airlines) at 18:50. Arrival in Zagreb is scheduled for 19:00 local time.

Climate: varies significantly, from dry desert in Rajasthan to cold mountainous in Assam, one of the wettest places on earth. Basically, India has three main seasons: dry and slightly cooler from October to February (the most pleasant time to visit India), dry and hot from February to July and hot and humid (monsoon) from July to October.

Nepali food is mostly vegetable/fruit-based, but very tasty and filling and quite similar to Indian cuisine. It is mostly based on rice and vegetables and is eaten with the hands alongside naan (bread). Chicken is the most commonly eaten meat, and fresh fruit is always available.

Bottled water is recommended. Water is not safe to drink; use only bottled water and avoid ice.

Vaccination is not required to enter Nepal. Bring any regular prescription medicines, a probiotic, fever reducers, painkillers, and medicines you generally take on trips. Be sure to bring sunscreen and insect repellent.

Alcoholic beverages available include beer and a local specialty, rice wine.

We recommend bringing US dollars, euros are also possible. Currency exchange will be done upon arrival in Kathmandu. The most widespread cards are American Express and MasterCard. Kathmandu and Pokhara have some ATMs, but we recommend carrying cash due to travel between cities and in the mountains. ATMs exist but are not always easily accessible. Cards cannot always be used. Consult your bank for details and be sure to notify them of your travel to avoid card blocks.

At markets, souvenir shops and street vendors always haggle, as it is customary. In addition to haggling, tipping is also customary and expected almost everywhere.

When visiting temples, it is considered polite to cover bare parts of the body, shoulders and thighs.

Climate:  The dry season lasts from October to May, although Nepal is predominantly a monsoon country.  Temperatures in spring and autumn range from average lows of 16°C to average highs of 24°C. May and June are the hottest and dustiest months with temperatures above 30°C.
