1. ZAGREB - PARIS/AMSTERDAM - NEW YORK

Meeting of passengers with the tour leader at Zagreb Airport two hours before the aircraft departure. Check-in and flight departure to New York via one of the European airports (Amsterdam / Paris - exact flight times for each departure are listed with the departure dates lower on the page). Upon arrival in New York, after completing customs and border formalities, transfer by bus to the hotel and accommodation. After a short rest at the hotel, an evening walk with the tour leader to Times Square, one of the most visited tourist attractions in the world located at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Seventh Avenue. The square is home to numerous restaurants, theaters and hotels as well as a large business district. The square is the center of the global entertainment industry, and the lights and advertisements are most impressive at night, when you will have the impression the square is ablaze due to the flickering and bright colors of the numerous advertisements bordering the square. Given the recognizability of this square worldwide, Times Square has found its place in many films and series, and it took on its current form at the beginning of the 20th century. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

2. NEW YORK (PANORAMIC CITY TOUR)

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we set off on a panoramic tour of New York, i.e. Manhattan, with so-called hop-on hop-off buses with an open top (CityPass surcharge) which are a very popular option for first-time visitors to cities worldwide. This is the best way to get a first impression of the city and to gain orientation for all the most famous city sights. We start from Times Square towards Lower Manhattan via Madison Square Garden, then Empire State Building, Flatiron Building, Union Square, Greenwich Village, SoHo, Chinatown, Little Italy, Financial District. There will be a coffee break, after which we continue with a tour of Midtown Manhattan and head towards Harlem with views of Columbus Circle, Lincoln Center, American Museum of Natural History, Upper West Side, St. John the Divine Cathedral, Apollo Theater, Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Central Park. After the tour, free time. For evening entertainment we suggest (with surcharge) attending one of the Broadway theaters with world-famous shows: Mamma Mia, Lion King, Chicago, Phantom of the Opera. Overnight.

3. NEW YORK (LOWER MANHATTAN – STATUE OF LIBERTY – WALL STREET – BROOKLYN BRIDGE)

Breakfast at the hotel. Accompanied by the tour leader we take the subway to Battery Park, the southernmost part of Manhattan from where there is an unobstructed view of Ellis and Liberty islands where the famous Statue of Liberty stands, representing the Roman goddess of liberty Libertas, and for many symbolizes the "American dream" – the hope for a better life and is probably the best-known symbol of New York and America in general. Boarding the boat and sailing to the Statue of Liberty. Then from Liberty Island we will continue sailing to Ellis Island, the arrival point of millions of immigrants who began arriving in America at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th century. The island is home to the Immigration Museum, which vividly depicts the life of those immigrants and their sole goal – to succeed in America, for many a land of untold opportunities. Return by boat to Manhattan and continuation of a walking tour through the Financial District and Wall Street where we will see the famous "Charging Bull" statue or "the bull from Wall Street" and the New York Stock Exchange building. Nearby is the National Memorial Museum dedicated to the victims of the attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Free time to rest, use the time for lunch or to visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum (extra charge or City Pass). We continue past New York City Hall, the mayor's seat, and towards the Brooklyn Bridge which connects Manhattan with the Brooklyn borough, built in 1883. Once exclusively residential and industrial, Brooklyn is today a center of innovative cultural currents with trendy bars, unusual restaurants, museums, open-air markets, art galleries and a favorite gathering place for hipster culture. We will walk part of the Brooklyn Bridge so you can photograph the Manhattan skyline which is beautifully visible from the bridge. Then we will return to the city center – Midtown where we will finish today's tour. We suggest rounding off the evening by going to the top of the Empire State Building and enjoying the unforgettable view of the lights of this fascinating metropolis. Return to the hotel. Overnight.

4. NEW YORK

Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for personal programs and activities. We suggest visiting one of the many museums: Guggenheim, the first of several museums worldwide of the S.R. Guggenheim foundation designed by the famous American architect F. L. Wright; the renowned Museum of Modern Art or popular MoMA whose collection contains almost 200,000 works of modern and contemporary art; the American Museum of Natural History, the largest of its kind in the world with over 130 million exhibits from dinosaurs to meteorites. Shoppers should not miss shopping on Fifth Avenue and surrounding streets where great offerings can be found in stores such as Macy’s, Bloomingdale's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Tiffany & Co. and others. Overnight.

5. NEW YORK – PARIS/AMSTERDAM

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. We will leave luggage in the designated room at the hotel. Free day until late afternoon transfer to the airport. We recommend using this day to enjoy and make last purchases in New York. Walk to Hell's Kitchen and pier 83 on the Hudson River. Circle Line Cruises offers a panoramic circular cruise (with surcharge) around Manhattan lasting 2.5 hours. With an English-speaking guide you will learn about the history and interesting facts of this city with a phenomenal view of many sights from the Hudson, Harlem and East Rivers. When you disembark, walk to the nearby Hudson Yards, where the new modern attraction The Vessel is located. This $200 million, 45-meter-high structure has 154 interconnected staircases and almost 2,500 steps. You can reach the top on foot or by elevator, and along the way there are about 80 spots for rest and photography. Entrance is free. We suggest lunch at the excellent Chelsea Market which has become New York's largest market where you can taste various specialties at reasonable prices. For last minute shopping in the city we suggest the largest department store Macy's or numerous shops around Times Square. At the designated time, organized transfer to the airport. Upon arrival, check-in for the flight to Amsterdam or Paris (depending on the travel date). Overnight flight with meals during the flight.

6. PARIS/AMSTERDAM – ZAGREB

Arrival in Amsterdam or Paris in the morning hours. Continue the flight to Zagreb and arrival in Zagreb in the afternoon hours.

ESTA information:

Passengers who traveled to Cuba after January 12, 2021 will not be able to use the ESTA application and will have to apply for a tourist visa to visit the USA. Cuba was added by the USA in 2021 to the list of countries determined to be state sponsors of terrorism. Those who traveled to Cuba before the specified date should answer affirmatively in the ESTA application to the question about prior travel to Cuba, after which they will be asked about the date of the actual travel, which will be one of the bases for a decision on approval or rejection by ESTA (the same applies to travelers who visited Iran, Iraq, Libya, North Korea, Somalia, Sudan, Syria or Yemen). It is incorrect to assume that answering the question about travel to Cuba before January 21, 2021 will result in automatic denial.
Note: persons who have traveled to Cuba can travel to the USA, but should plan the trip in advance and expect to go through the visa process.
