1. ZAGREB - STOCKHOLM

Meeting of passengers with the tour leader at Zagreb Airport, 2nd floor - departures, at the Tisak office two hours before the flight. Check-in for the flight to Stockholm on flight OU 486 (Croatia Airlines) at 08:00. Upon arrival in Stockholm at 10:10, departure for a city tour by bus and on foot. Founded in 1252, it became the capital in 1634. Today's Stockholm is a dynamic, diverse and lively city, and its beautiful buildings, numerous green spaces and bridges make it unique. We will drive panoramically through the islands Kungsholmen and Djurgården where many museums are located, and through the splendid districts Östermalm and Norrmalm, which is also where the term "Stockholm syndrome" originated. In the oldest part of the city, Gamla Stan, we continue with a walking tour..... This is one of the best preserved medieval districts in Europe; it is precisely the core from which Stockholm developed and where it actually began. One of the biggest attractions of Gamla Stan is the Royal Palace, one of the largest in the world with more than 600 rooms. Several beautiful churches and museums are located in this district, as well as the national cathedral and the Nobel Museum. In the heart of the district is the main square Stortorget, a frequent photographic motif on city postcards. After visiting Gamla Stan we will go to the island Södermalm, also one of the most beautiful districts of Stockholm, and stop at Fjällgatan which offers a magnificent view over the center of Stockholm and the old town. Transfer to the hotel and check-in. Considering Stockholm is distinctive in that daylight in the summer period lasts until late evening, we recommend an evening visit to the city with the tour leader by public transport, which is excellently organized in the city. Return to the hotel with the guide or on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

2. STOCKHOLM (optional supplement for boat ride and Vasa Museum visit)

Breakfast. Departure by public transport to the city center accompanied by the tour leader. Today we certainly suggest a two-hour boat trip "under the bridges" (supplement) of the Venice of the North, as they affectionately call the Swedish capital. The Stockholm archipelago is a unique area in the world. The city lies on 14 islands connected by 53 bridges at the southern end of Lake Mälaren, and its archipelago is adorned with more than 24,000 islands, islets and skerries. On some islets there are picturesque houses, small restaurants and hotels, while others remain untouched by human hands. In the afternoon we suggest a trip by public transport with the tour leader to the island Djurgården, the island of museums as it is also called. Djurgården is a green oasis close to the city center beloved by residents and tourists; since the 15th century it was royal property, and today many fantastic museums are located there such as Skansen - the open-air museum, the Vasa Museum (entrance possible for an extra fee) with the royal ship, the pride of the Swedish navy from the 17th century, the ABBA museum, etc. After the tour, free evening for your own programs. Ideal time to buy a souvenir or visit one of the many shops. Overnight at the hotel.

3. STOCKHOLM (half-day excursion to Drottningholm)

After breakfast today we suggest a half-day bus excursion to Drottningholm Palace. The 17th-century palace is located on the island Lovön and was the first Stockholm landmark to be placed on the World Heritage List. It was built by Queen Eleonora and today is the home of the Swedish royal family. The famous Chinese Pavilion and Drottningholm Theatre are parts of the palace open to visitors (ticket included in the excursion price). After the excursion we suggest you use the free afternoon for an independent walk through the city center. Watching master craftsmen through the windows of traditional workshops you will feel part of medieval life and atmosphere, which is sometimes so realistic and vivid that Gamla Stan has become one of the important locations for film production. Overnight at the hotel.

4. STOCKHOLM - ZAGREB

After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to the airport. Upon arrival, check-in for the flight and departure of the aircraft to Zagreb at 11:00 on flight OU487 (Croatia Airlines). Arrival in Zagreb is scheduled for 13:25.
